I wish all books would end like Harry Potter

Ugh! I hate it when the end of a book leaves you hanging, especially when the rest of the book is really well written.  You go through it.  You read the whole thing, waiting and waiting for some explanation.

 And....

Splat!  They throw something at you like "and even though everything was in complete despair, they felt inside their hearts that it would be ok."  Or...  "He didn't know if he would ever make it, but for this one moment everything was going to be ok."  I mean what kind of ending is that!  It's like they had no idea how to end it, so they came up with an ending that doesn't really end at all.

I just spent five hours straight reading "The Giver" from cover to cover.  I got it at the library today and I just couldn't put it down, (don't be to impressed it's a short book.)  But unfortunately, I was disappointed.  Don't get me wrong, it was a really good book, just a bad ending.

(Oh my.  That old guy kinda looks like a really sad Santa.)

But wait!  I had a brilliant idea to fix all this,

I thought to myself.

I wish all books would end like Harry Potter; no loose ends, making it a happy ending without... "and they all lived happily ever after."  Or like Shakespeare where everybody dies at the end,  (Hey, you know its true.)  It needs to be perfectly balanced with a sense of completion.

So, I'm starting a petition that J. K. Rowling should re-write the end of every good book that has a bad ending.

"Supposedly" the World is Ending Today

I thought I should just let you know the world is "supposedly" ending today (I guess the whole 2012 thing was all for nothing.)

from: Google

Darn, and just when the weather was starting to get nice too.
Personally I think its just as likely for the world to end today as it is any other day because the Bible specifically says that it will come like a thief  in the night (I don't know about you but I don't schedule when I get robbed.)  So yeah there it is yep I for one am going to listen a lot more closely to what God says and not some creepy people who have way to much time on there hands.  I think it's really funny how so many people, even Christians, have so many different "theories" on the Apocalypse when God wrote it down plan and simple in Revelations (OK maybe not so simple.)  But hey, maybe the point is "we're  not supposed  to know everything, sometimes God just wants us to have a little faith."  I mean, its really good to educate your self on the facts (God loves that) but don't get so caught up in knowing every thing that you forget God is all knowing and he will take care of you.  Everything is going to be all right, just breathe.

OK.  That's my sermon (and all gods children said aaamen.)

Now moooving on to more humerus matters (and yes I know I put three O's in moooving and no, not humerus like the bone, and yes I do insist on putting something funny in every post or at least something I think is funny.)

Does any body else find it funny that when you follow a blog your called a follower (it's probably just me and my ummm well... Interesting mind.)  It sounds like where all joining each others cults.  I mean why don't they call us fans or supporters or home dogs.  OK don't make fun of me I've had a long day (oh fine I allow you to laugh at me for five seconds  1,2,3,4,5 OK times up!)

Happy dooms day.

Are you ready for some GIVEAWAY!

First off, I would just like to say sorry I haven't posted in 14 days ahhhhhhh!! But hey, in my defense, I was studying for finals (the only good part about finals is when it's over.)  But now school is out, and I'm feeling generous, so I'm having a Giveaway.

These are the rules, ya little whipper snappers (I don't actually think you guys are whipper snappers, but hey, how many times can you put the word whipper snappers correctly in a blog post.  The opportunity presented itself and I took it.)  So sue me (actually please don't.  I wouldn't last a second in court.  The attorneys would eat me alive.)

Ok.  Moving on.

Portrait Contest Entry :: Bff's

This was my friends and I:
Did you hear about the portrait contest? Are you going to enter it? Should I enter this picture?
It was lots of fun when we went crazy at Nicole's church taking completely random pictures and pretending to be models and using Megan's camera, after we were done practicing dance (of course). And that brings me to say that we are completely weird. Oh well.

Anywho, the picture above is the one I'm entering in the Portrait contest here:

Note: this post was written on request by Megan (because Midg is computerly handicapped and doesn't know how to enter contests ;]), but I'm pretty sure that these words would have come from her mouth too, and I tried to write it in her writing voice. She did in fact take the picture though! And I love you midgy, even if you ARE computerly challenged. ;)
